Carmen MacDougall was born in Chicago, where she grew up scouring thrift stores, sewing and collaging. She spent most of her early summers traveling with her family and becoming fluent in Spanish. Carmen enjoys decorating (and redecorating) her apartment, refurbishing found furniture and loves nothing better than a good flea market. She is an organizer and creator and must always have a project. After graduating from NYU, she spent a year backpacking solo around South America. Carmen now lives in Chicago, Illinois.
